NAME

kpreg --- A helper application for completing web forms and other programs.

DESCRIPTION

This manual page documents briefly the kpreg.

This manual page was written for the Debian distribution because the original program does not have a manual page. Instead, it has documentation in the GNU Info format; see below.

kpreg, for KDE and Linux, or others Unix (*BSDs, etc) with suport for KDE, is a helper application for completing web forms and other programs. It provides an interface for entering commonly-required data, such as name, email, address, etc. With a simple click of the mouse, any item in the text list is copied to the clipboard, and can then be easily pasted in any form or application. KPreg can dock in the panel for easy access.

FEATURES

* any item in the text list can be added to the clipboard with a simple mouse click (for easy pasting into the form or application);

* docking in the Panel for easy access;

* support for item labels and for associating a colored icon with an item (for easy contrast of type items);

* ability to customize the real content and to display only the label, label and content, or only the content;

* support for item categories;

* a system tray icon and menu, with quick access to items in the current category and a menu (with mouse middle button) with all categories and submenus with itens;

* XML file data format ( version >= 1.0 );

* Drag and Drop itens.
