NAME

qnotifyd - Manage the windows of qnotify

SYNOPSIS

qnotifyd [options]

DESCRIPTION

qnotifyd QNotify is a small and windowmanager independant utility to inform you of events of any kind. When a specific event occurres, a small window will pop up showning a message. The window does not take away the focus of any other application. Additionally, it stais on top of the Desktop and does not disappear when changing workspaces. The user can specify geometry, colors and position, to mention only a few options. The tool is especially designed for those people who are not using KDE, but it is written in QT (Trolltech) and so it is working with any windowmanager.

Since version 0.3, there is a daemon called qnotifyd which stais in background and keeps track of all shown windows. So it manages the alignment of all qnotify windows and so avoids overlapping of events. You start the daemon with qnotifyd. The program for displaying events is called qnotify (man qnotify). Now evertime you start qnotify, a new window will pop up and is aligned correctly.
