NAME

shoes - interpreter for Ruby files that use the Shoes library

SYNOPSIS

shoes [options] (app.rb or app.shy)

DESCRIPTION

Shoes is a very informal graphics and windowing toolkit for making simple graphical applications written in Ruby. The shoes command is used to run these applications. If no application is given on the command line, a file browser will be opened to let you pick one. Supported file types are .rb, for plain Ruby files; or .shy, for compressed Shoes YAML archives.

OPTIONS

This program follow the usual GNU command line syntax, with long options starting with two dashes (`--'). A summary of the options supported by shoes is included below.
-h, --help
Show summary of options.
-m, --manual
Open the built-in manual.
-s, --shy DIRECTORY
Compress a directory into a Shoes YAML (SHY) archive.

SEE ALSO

The built-in manual can be read by running shoes -m.
