nbackup --- Physical Backup Manager

DESCRIPTION

This manual page documents briefly the nbackup command.

This manual page was written for the Debian distribution because the original program does not have a manual page. Instead, it has documentation you may find in the release notes, included in firebird2.0-doc package.

nbackup is a program that allows making incremental backups of firebird databases. It also allows database files to be locked for copying with OS tools like cp.

OPTIONS

-L database
Lock database for filesystem copy.
-U database
Unlock previously locked database.
-F database
Fixup database after filesystem copy.
-B level database [filename]
Create incremental backup.
-R database [file0 [file1...]]
Restore incremental backup.
-U user
User name
-P password
Password
